Ellen J. Moore

ELLEN J. MOORE is President and CEO of Chubb Insurance Company of Canada and has been since January, 2004. Chubb Insurance Company of Canada has offices in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Calgary.

Ellen began her career with Chubb in 1978 in the Personal Lines Division of the Corporate Office in New Jersey. She managed underwriting field offices in New Jersey before returning to the Corporate Office in 1983 as Assistant Vice President and National Underwriting Manager for Chubb's personal automobile practice in the U.S. and Canada.

From 1986 to 1991, she managed the Eastern U.S. and Canadian Territories for Chubb Personal Insurance. In 1992, Ellen was promoted to Vice President and transferred to Connecticut to open the Hartford branch office. In 1995, she became the Washington Regional Branch Manager and in 1997 was promoted to Senior Vice President and Managing Director.

In 2002, Ellen was recognized as one of the insurance industry's top 100 woman executives by Business Insurance Magazine.

Ellen has served on numerous boards of not-for-profit organizations during her career. Presently, Ellen is on the Board of Governors for Junior Achievement in Toronto. She is a Board Member of the Insurance Bureau of Canada and CanStage.

She is married and has two teenage daughters.
